Deja Nous (2023 Program)

A Tribute to the Recently Departed
Central Stage / 3:00 - 4:00
Deja Nous was formed earlier this year to mount a celebration of the music of Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young just after the passing of David Crosby.  Centered around the efforts of Mike Buzcek (guitar and vocals,) Patti Cobb (keyboards, guitar, violin, and vocals) and Bryan Uhlenbrock (guitar and vocals,) this band  gave a series of performances at the Chit Chat Cafe in Pacifica and the Art House in Berkeley.  After those performances, that purpose was considered satisfied and the project shelved.
Time moved on, as it is known to do… and in the passing months, many, many more notable musicians have shuffled off of this mortal coil — so many so that Deja Nous has again-reformed to mount a larger celebration of those who have passed in this one notable year alone.  Do you fondly remember the music of Harry Belafonte, Gordon Lightfoot, Jimmy Buffet, David Crosby, and so many more?  Would you like to gather to help celebrate the passing of David LaFlamme (It’s a Beautiful Day), Robbie Robertson (The Band), Randy Meisner (the Eagles), Christine McVie (Fleetwood Mac) and Terry Kirkman (The Association)?  Do you want to ride the Proud Mary one last time, to remember the life and career of Tina Tuner?  Than join Deja Nous on the Central Stage from 3-4 PM, and we’ll all go “rolling on the river” together!
