Valerie Rose and Daniel Hersh perform traditional music on fiddle, concertina, and vocals. Their repertoire spans the British Isles, North America, and Scandinavia and includes many lesser-known tunes and songs. Valerie is a fiddler and singer who plays in a number of Bay Area Irish and contradance bands, including Western Shore, the Avalanche Irish Céilí Band and others. Daniel is one of the leading concertina players in the Bay Area. Valerie and Daniel have been playing and performing together for nearly 10 years. They have performed together at the Fairfax Irish Festival, the San Francisco Free Folk Festival, the Feldman’s Books music series, the Virtual Plough, the Palo Alto Art and Wine Festival, the United Irish Cultural Center, and in house concerts and other venues.
