Rob Katz is an award-winning songwriter, who last fall put out two CDs of original songs, “The World’s Greatest Peace Song (and other songs almost as good)” and “Don’t Believe Everything You Think and other musical observations,” and also has an earlier album, “Renewal.” (All available on streaming platforms.) He has performed in various East Bay venues. He has also written over a dozen original musicals for East Bay synagogues. His songs have catchy melodies, good grooves, and meaningful, sometimes funny, often political lyrics. Influences include protest folk, classic rock, Tin Pan Alley, and Broadway. He will be joined by two excellent singers he has worked with frequently. Greg Wolff has sung in choruses, rock bands, and community theater.
