We call ourselves The Ghosts. The origins of our group were in the “Take the Stage” bluegrass performance workshops that Freight and Salvage ran some 15 to 20 years ago: Two of out of the five of us stem from a group that formed then. We’re now a group of five: Stan Boghosian on guitar, Steve Eckert on mandolin, Fred flint on harmonic and fiddle, Eric Jaeger on dobro and banjo, and Lew Williams on bass. All of us sing, and we love our 2 and 3 part harmonies. The largest part of our repertoire is bluegrass, but the Americana descriptor would fit us well: We perform songs written by Townes Van Zandt, Neil Young, Merle Haggard, Bruce Springsteen, Lyle Lovett, and others. We mostly perform around the Bay at farmers markets and parties.
